Polypodium zenkeri Hieron.

Rhizome short, erect; rhizome scales scales triangular in outline, apex long and narrowly tapering, base cordate, inner cells slightly thickened, outer thin. Fronds monomorphic, closely spaced, 5-13 cm long. Stipe 0.2-0.6 cm long, blackish, narrowly winged, with some scales at the base. Lamina pinnatifid to the rhachis, linear-lanceolate in outline, apex rounded, gradually narrowed towards the base; lobes triangular-oval or triangular-oblong in outline, apex rounded, hairless; rhachis sunken at upper base, prominent on underside, blackish, hairless; veins inconspicuous, 3-5, the midrib slightly raised on the underside, thickened at the top. Sori several per lobe, round, often arranged in two rows in each lobe, between margin and midrib.

zenkeri named after Georg August Zenker (1855-1922), German explorer, botanist and plant collector.
